What we create
Mixed balloon sizes and tones for depth and movement. The look most people picture now.
An even, repeated pattern for a formal, symmetrical finish.
Sized to the doorway, stage or aisle it is going into, not to a catalogue.
An arch is the piece people walk through and photograph, so most of the job is getting it right in the room rather than getting it made. We build in sections at the Chatham studio, assemble and shape on site, and come back afterwards to take it down — you are not collecting anything, inflating anything, or working out how to attach it to a rented wall.
Organic arches mix balloon sizes and tones so the shape has depth and movement, often heavier at one end and tapering across the span. It is the look most people have in mind now, and it suits entrances, backdrops and anywhere the arch is the focal point of the photographs.
Classic arches repeat a tight, even pattern — spiral or linked — for a symmetrical, formal finish. They frame a ceremony or a stage cleanly without competing with what is in front of them.
Half arches and asymmetric spans sit between the two: they frame one side of a doorway or a cake table and take up far less floor than a full arch, which matters in a room that is already tight.
The first question is always what the arch is framing. A doorway, a stage, a ceremony aisle and a storefront all want different proportions, and an arch sized for the wrong one reads badly in photographs even when it is beautifully built.
Send a photo of the space with something recognisable in it for scale — a chair, a door — and we will tell you what fits. That is more useful than a measurement, because it shows us the ceiling, the floor and what else is competing for attention.
Outdoor arches need anchoring and a wind plan, and we will raise both before the day. Wind is the real risk, more than rain. Direct summer sun shortens the life of latex, so for a long outdoor event we will suggest a build and a palette that holds up rather than one that looks perfect for the first hour.
None of this is a reason to avoid an outdoor arch. It is a reason to tell us it is outdoors when you enquire.
We arrive in the install window agreed with you or your venue, assemble and shape the arch in place, and clear up after ourselves. For offices, shops and venues with their own access rules, early-morning and evening installs are routine, so the arch is finished before doors open. Afterwards we come back and remove everything.
Send the date, the venue and the colours you have in mind. We come back with a concept and a price, usually within a day. Arches are quoted against the brief rather than sold from a list, because size, palette and indoor versus outdoor change the build substantially. There is no cost or obligation to ask.
Photographs of previous arches are in the arch gallery. Related work: balloon garlands, columns and backdrops and balloon walls. For weddings and ceremonies see wedding balloons; for openings and brand work see corporate events.

FAQ
We deliver and install. An arch is built in sections at our Chatham studio, assembled and shaped on site at your venue, and we return afterwards to break it down and take it away. Arches are not a collection item — a finished arch does not travel in a car, and shaping one in place is most of the work.
We install across Morris, Union and Essex counties, typically within about 20 miles of our Chatham studio. That covers Madison, Summit, Morristown, Short Hills, Millburn, Livingston, Westfield, Springfield, Berkeley Heights, New Providence, Florham Park, East Hanover, Maplewood, Mountainside, Morris Plains, Harding and Roseland, among others.
It depends on what it is framing. A standard doorway takes a half arch or a modest full span. A ceremony aisle or a stage usually wants something wider and taller so it reads in photographs from the back of the room. Send a photo of the space with something recognisable in shot for scale and we will tell you what fits.
Yes, and it is built differently from an indoor one. Outdoor arches need proper anchoring and we will talk through the forecast before the day, because wind matters more than rain. Direct summer sun also shortens the life of latex, so for a long outdoor event we will suggest a construction and a colour palette that holds up.
Indoors, a well-built arch comfortably lasts the event and usually looks good the next day. Outdoors it depends on sun and wind — plan for the event itself rather than the weekend. If you need something to stand for several days, tell us and we will build for that.
Three weeks is comfortable, especially for custom colour matching. Shorter notice is often possible depending on the date and how close you are to Chatham — it is always worth asking rather than assuming we are full.
It depends on the size, the palette and whether it is indoor or outdoor, so arches are quoted against the brief rather than sold from a list. Send your date, the venue and the colours and we come back with a concept and a price, usually within a day. There is no cost or obligation to ask.
Yes. For events we work from a photo, a swatch or a description. For corporate work we match from hex or Pantone references and confirm the match before installation.

Five stars for Chatham Balloons! My balloon arch exceeded my expectations, and Patrycja was super responsive and helpful in bringing my child's vision to life. I would happily order balloons from them again!— Rina V.
I can’t recommend Chatham balloons enough! I had the toughest time finding a place that was able to make Pac-Man themed balloons. Patrycja was able to custom make it and bring my vision to life. I gave her a inspo and she paid great attention to every detail!!!— Diana H.
